Vaccine Research Laboratory
The Vaccine Research Laboratories (VRL) contains the focal point of the CVR research bringing together scientists from varied disciplines with a common goal of investigating the pathogenesis and immunology of emerging infectious diseases and biodefense pathogens.
Regional Biocontainment Laboratory
The Regional Biocontainment Laboratory (RBL) is a unique facility designed to support the research community and national biodefense network by providing state-of-the-art Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) and Animal Biosafety Level 3 (ABSL-3) laboratories, including dedicated facilities for aerobiology, imaging, and immunopathology.
Biomedical Science Tower 3
Located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s healthcare corridor, the Biomedical Science Tower 3 (BST3) was designed to house a paradigm-shifting working model for biomedical research.
In additional to the state-of-the-art facilities at the Center for Vaccine Research (CVR), researchers can take advantage of other University resources that were developed to foster basic biomedical and clinical research by offering cutting-edge and basic technologies in a cost effective and efficient manner.
